Cookie Policy

Last updated: [June 2025]

This Cookie Policy explains how promptoria.com ("we" or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our Site. It is intended for visitors in Armenia. We aim to comply with Armenian data protection laws. By using promptoria.com, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy (to the extent permitted by your settings and applicable law). For more information about how we process personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions. We also use similar tracking technologies alongside cookies, such as web beacons (pixel tags), tracking pixels, script tags, and browser local storage. In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies collectively as "cookies." Cookies may be first-party (set by promptoria.com) or third-party (set by another domain, such as our analytics and advertising partners). They may also be session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

Types of cookies we use

promptoria.com uses cookies to improve your experience, understand how our Site is used, and support our marketing efforts. Specifically, we use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies (strictly necessary): These cookies are required for the website to function properly. They provide core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility. For example, we use essential cookies to enable navigation, page loading, and access to secure areas. Some essential cookies also remember your cookie preferences (via our consent management platform) so we do not ask for your choices repeatedly. Without these cookies, certain services on our Site cannot be provided properly.
  • Performance and analytics cookies: These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it. Analytics cookies collect information about traffic, popular pages, time spent on the Site, and overall user behavior (for example, which links are clicked). We may use Google Analytics or similar services to collect aggregated usage data. We may also use user experience tools (such as heatmaps or session recordings) to see how you interact with our pages (for example, where you click, tap, or scroll). Information collected by these cookies is typically aggregated and does not directly identify you. However, analytics providers may receive technical data such as your IP address or device identifier (which we may configure to anonymize where possible). This data helps us identify what we are doing well and what can be improved on our Site.
  • Functionality (preference) cookies: These cookies allow the Site to remember your choices and provide enhanced, more personalized features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. For example, functionality cookies may remember your site preferences (such as language or region) and other user settings. If you fill out a contact or feedback form on our Site, a cookie may remember certain details you provided (such as your name, phone number, email address, selected service, or message) so you do not have to re-enter them if you leave the Site and return, or to confirm that you successfully submitted the form. While functionality cookies are not strictly necessary, they make the user experience smoother and more tailored to you. Disabling these cookies may result in some features not working properly.
  • Advertising and targeting cookies: These cookies are used to deliver ads that are more relevant to you and your interests, and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. For example, advertising cookies and pixels help us show you targeted ads based on your online behavior on promptoria.com and track whether you later take actions related to our ads (such as submitting a form or making a purchase). We work with reputable advertising networks and platforms including (but not limited to) Google Ads, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads), TikTok Ads, Amazon Ads, and others. These partners may set cookies through our Site that collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, and information about your online behavior on this and other sites. This data is used to build a profile of your interests so relevant ads can be shown to you on our Site or elsewhere on the Internet. Note that these third-party cookies are controlled by third parties; the data they collect and how they use it are governed by their own privacy policies. These cookies do not directly store your name, email address, or other contact details, and we do not intentionally provide such personal information to our advertising partners through cookies. However, if you are also a user of these platforms (for example, if you are logged in to your social media account), they may combine data collected from our Site with other information they have about you to further personalize advertising. By using these cookies, we aim to show you ads for products or services that interest you rather than random or irrelevant ads.

Your choices: Managing cookies and opt-out options

We believe in giving you control over your data. You have several options for managing or disabling cookies and similar tracking technologies on our Site:

  • Consent management platform (CMP): We use a CMP on promptoria.com to allow you to set your cookie preferences. When you first visit our Site, you will see a cookie consent banner or pop-up that allows you to accept or reject certain categories of cookies (except strictly necessary cookies, which cannot be disabled because they are required). You can return to your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link or icon (typically located in the site header or footer). Through the CMP you can view cookie categories (and sometimes individual cookies) and enable or disable them according to your preferences. After you set your choices, your preferences are saved (via an essential cookie) so we remember them on subsequent visits. If you clear your cookies or use another browser/device, you may need to set your preferences again.
  • Browser settings: Most web browsers provide options to manage or disable cookies. You can set your browser to block all cookies or to notify you when a cookie is set. These settings are typically found in the browser’s "Settings" or "Preferences" menu under "Privacy" or "Security." Using browser settings to reject cookies may affect the functionality of not only our Site but other sites as well. For example, if you block all cookies, you may not be able to log in to websites or use features that rely on cookies. Each browser is different, so check your browser’s help documentation for instructions on changing cookie settings. Note that if you delete or block cookies, you may need to manually set certain preferences each time you visit the Site, and some features may not work.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): promptoria.com honors the Global Privacy Control signal. GPC is a browser or extension setting that signals your privacy preference to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (especially for targeted advertising) globally. If our Site detects a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request under applicable law. In practice, this means we will automatically disable or not use any non-essential cookies used for advertising or sale/sharing of data on our Site for that browser. You will still see our cookie banner (so you can make more granular choices if you wish), but cookies for sale/sharing will be disabled by default in response to GPC. (Note: we do not currently respond to the older "Do Not Track" browser signal, which lacks a unified standard. GPC is a newer, legally recognized mechanism that we fully support.)
  • Industry advertising opt-out tools: You can also opt out of many third-party advertising cookies using industry-provided tools. The Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices tool and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page allow you to manage preferences for participating companies. These tools scan your browser for cookies set by various advertising companies and give you the option to opt out of many at once. If you opt out via these tools, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser to signal your choice. Note that if you later clear your cookies, this opt-out cookie may be removed and you may need to opt out again. On mobile devices, you can limit tracking through device settings (for example, by resetting your mobile advertising ID or enabling “Limit Ad Tracking” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” in your device’s privacy settings). In addition, the DAA offers the AppChoices app to control interest-based advertising in mobile apps.

Keep in mind that opting out of cookies or blocking them may affect your experience on our Site. Essential cookies will remain active regardless of other preferences, as the Site cannot function without them. Opting out of advertising cookies does not mean you will stop seeing ads — you will still see general ads, but they will be less tailored to your interests.

Data sharing and “Do Not Sell or Share” notice

Sale/sharing via cookies: As described above, some analytics and advertising cookies may involve collecting and sharing information about you (such as device identifiers or online activity) with third parties. Under certain privacy laws, this type of data sharing for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (for example, under California law) or otherwise fall under targeted advertising definitions (under laws in states such as Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, etc.). We want to be clear about how we handle such data and your rights.

Your right to opt out: We do not sell your personal information for money. However, we use cookies that may share data with third-party partners for advertising purposes, which may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable laws. If you are a resident of Armenia or any state with similar privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of this type of data sharing (i.e., to opt out of the sale or use of your personal information for targeted advertising). You can exercise this right at any time through the mechanisms described above (for example, by setting your preferences in our CMP to disable advertising cookies or enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser). In addition, Armenian residents can use the contact method below to submit an opt-out request. After you opt out, we will refrain from using non-essential cookies associated with the sale/sharing of your data for targeted advertising unless you later grant permission (for example, by consenting via cookie settings).

Children and teens: We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 via cookies or other means. Users under 16 (and their parents or guardians, if applicable) should be aware that under the law the sale of personal data of consumers aged 13 to 16 is permitted only if they explicitly authorize it (opt in), and consumers under 13 require parental consent. promptoria.com is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we inadvertently collected or shared personal data of a child under 13 (or that we sold/shared data of a minor aged 13–16 without proper consent), we will take steps to delete that information and honor opt-out requests as required by law.

Third-party links and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, plugins, or services, and we may also embed third-party content on our pages (such as social media widgets, videos, or maps). If you click a third-party link or interact with third-party content on our Site, those third parties may set their own cookies or collect data about you. For example, if you click a link to follow us on LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), or Facebook, or use a social share button, you will be redirected to those platforms, which may set cookies in your browser. Similarly, playing an embedded YouTube video or interacting with a Google Map on our Site may allow Google to set or read cookies. We do not control these third-party technologies, and their use is not covered by this Cookie Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party site or service you visit or use. The inclusion of a third-party link or technology on promptoria.com does not imply that we endorse or control that third party’s practices. If you have any concerns about how other websites use cookies and personal data, please review their policies and settings.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other operational reasons. When we make changes, we revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy. If any changes are material, we may provide more prominent notice (for example, a banner on our website or a notice in our consent banner) to inform you of the update. We recommend that you periodically review this Cookie Policy to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. Your continued use of promptoria.com after any update to this policy will signify your acknowledgment of the changes, to the extent permitted by law.
